Aaron McKenna advanced to the semi-finals of the $1 million Prizefighter series after delivering a dominant performance against Jeovanny Estela in Osaka.

In a clash between two undefeated middleweights, McKenna, from Monaghan, showcased aggression and precision throughout, overwhelming his Puerto Rican opponent. The one-sided onslaught should have ended earlier, as the referee did finally intervene in the last minute of the tenth and final round.

McKenna is now set to face experienced English boxer Kieron Conway in the semi-finals, scheduled for October in Japan. Organized by Matchroom Boxing, the tournament offers not only a substantial monetary prize but also the opportunity to challenge for a world title.

Estela had a brief moment of hope in the opening round when he landed a clean right hand, but that was the highlight of his night. McKenna quickly took control, winning round after round with relentless shots to both the head and body.

By the fourth round, it became clear that McKenna was in full control, displaying his impressive skills as he picked apart his opponent. Despite the punishment, Estela appeared on track to last the full ten rounds, but the sickening punishment proved too much and forced the referee to stop the fight.

Now boasting a perfect 19-0 record, McKenna is one step closer to the $1 million prize and continues to gain fans, many of whom are tipping him as the favorite to win the entire tournament.
