Leading British heavyweight Tyson Fury is the cover star of not one, not two, but three of the major world boxing magazines this month, as the hype machine kicks into overdrive ahead of his much-anticipated world heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko on October 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Boxing News ran a fascinating six-page feature on Fury last week, which saw the author, Danny Flexen, spend time with The Artist Nowadays Known as Batman in his Batcave (ok, training camp), while Boxing Monthly boast a 20-page Klitschko and Fury special, the highlight of which (said with absolutely no bias) is undoubtedly the Fury feature by Terry Dooley.
Finally, American fight magazine The Ring, the self-proclaimed ‘Bible of Boxing’, run a six-page feature on Fury in their latest issue, written by Elliot Worsell, which touches on the many personalities of Fury ahead of his fight with a man he labels ‘one-dimensional’ and ‘robotic’.
And that’s just the start. Expect much, much more as the heavyweight fight of the year fast approaches.
