Top promoter Mick Hennessy says Tyson Fury will turn the World heavyweight division upside down in 2013 when he becomes the heavyweight champion of the world.

According to the Hennessy Sports boss unbeaten Fury will confirm his status as the best heavyweight contender in the world this Saturday night at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena after he conquers tough American Kevin Johnson when they battle in an official WBC heavyweight World title eliminator.

Former World title challenger Johnson has predicted that he will end Fury’s world title hopes but Hennessy insists that Fury will take another major step towards a showdown with either Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night, particularly after the WBC have confirmed the fight to be an official World heavyweight title eliminator for the belt held by Vitali.

Hennessy commented: “Tyson is the future of the heavyweight division and the fans watching live on Channel 5 and those in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast are going to see that on Saturday night. The WBC have confirmed that the fight is an official WBC World title eliminator which is great news for Tyson.

“David Haye is messing around in the jungle, David Price is fighting the elderly while Tyson is getting on with being the real deal in the heavyweight division. He’s already shown that he’s the best in Britain and when he beats Johnson he’ll prove that he’s ready to go on and rule the heavyweight division in 2013.

“If Tyson does what I believe he’s going to do on Saturday night, Tyson will be ready for the World title. Tyson has come a long way over the past 12 months, his coach Peter Fury has transformed into the ultimate fighting machine and come next year nobody will stand in his way.

“Channel 5 have been very pleased with the viewing figures he has been getting, he has brought big time boxing back to terrestrial TV and he’s taking on men that other top ten fighters just avoid.

“Johnson is a very awkward, tough fighter who proved his worth when he went the distance with Vitali Klitschko, for Tyson this is by far the biggest test of his career.
